lyrics

Year 1457, winter season of Wallachia
Snow there were soaked with blood
Once a young prince hostage
Now succeeded his rightful throne

Ruling with unprecedented power
He wiped out the class of boyars
Under his command, those unpatriotic nobles
Were skinned alive, and hacked into pieces

No, not enough!
Compare to what he had suffered

For the usurpers among them
He introduced a new penalty
To torture and display them
The slow and humiliating death of impalement

Under his reign of blood, a strong and united nation was created

No, not enough!
Compare to what he had suffered

Then, in 1460, two envoys were sent from the Sultan
Seeking peace and homage from Dracula

“When they kneel down in front of him, they bowed out of respect.
But they didn’t take off their hats for that’s their costume”

Being a reasonable and understanding tyrant
Dracula let them kept the hats on and ordered

“Make sure they can never take it off!”
